if you do not provide an RSS feed, The Community will provide one for you
and they will not implement the restrictions you want

@alexandra I've just started getting into RSS and I frickin love it. It makes me so sad seeing websites that don't advertise their RSS, or don't even have one!
@Nyla_Smokeyface @alexandra there is a meta tag for publishing a feed URL, there's literally no reason to "advertise" rss. any feed reader that gets a non-xml url added can just parse out the meta tag that points to the feed url.
twice a month i get idiots writing me asking me what my rss feed url is. it's right in the <head> on every page on my website and all you have to do is put my base URL in your feed reader and it will Just Work.
