What the heck is Apple doing to make MacOS >that< slow? Booted my 2020 Macbook (i7 Quad Core/16G Memory/NVMe) to make some music and it feels sooo sluggish, compared to my several years older linux laptop.
@vidister my theory is macOS features/bloat aimed at normies that don't go into zero-resource sleep when unused, that exist primarily based on resume driven development PMs inside of Apple trying to climb FAANG ladder
