why is there no decent modern file transfer over http protocol? webdav is lame and naive POSTing of one-file-one-request is lame and unresumable

@jeff no i mean an actual protocol. tying an upload to a single TCP connection is madness. what about uploading a directory, et c?

@jeff @selea @IRC that is for downloads only given an existing infohash. doesn't provide for directory listing, upload, permissions bits, et c. jmap is to imap as x is to ftp. solve for x.
