watched mononoke finally; what a fucked up acid trip of a movie that is. i still am not exactly sure what happened there. this and spirited away are about as nonsensical as i've ever seen a movie that remains an actual linear narrative.

i don't think these are for me, really. they look nice but they are the storytelling equivalent of really self-indulgent experimental jazz.
