I and many others hate email. It will never be E2E encrypted, is soon to be a huge source of spam if published. But there is nothing else that also does async communication alright.

At this point, I would almost just do a matrix addr or mastodon DM as a quick bozo filter.

The web shows tons of spam fighting technics in many situations.
I use my email client anti spam learning system, it's cool. I recently learn sieve filtering on my email provider system. And for web sites, i do not use nothing, or sometime an anti bot plugins that respect privacy. And yes, i show my mstodon profil ;)
