@sneak a prebuilt using custom build parts by someone else, like pudget sound systems or ibuypower are usually the best i’ve found, along with a note to make sure stuff like a 3090 fits
@sneak and you can tell them to not ship a gpu lol. Another option is to pay a local kid who watches too much linus tech tips & have custom pc experience $100 to transplant the parts into a case that fits, and they have to research the case.
@surfingalot the local pc kid's website is an instagram page, and i have instagram blocked via dns.
@surfingalot some literal hacking (with a hacksaw) and now the 3090 is installed and the system's nvme has been zeroized and win10pro is now installing
@surfingalot i only had to use a hacksaw on one part and only in a direction away from the motherboard and i put plastic over the board while i did it, the chance of that having been an issue is ~0
One guess as to why the UX is worse on a console is because they're expecting a more sophisticated userbase than the more widespread userbase of websites and smartphones: https://builtformars.com/case-studies/ps5-vs-xbox
@sneak do hacksaws also make metal particles?
