just when i thought i couldn't like elon more.
i might actually go back to twitter if he does e2e for DMs (which he said he wants to) and stops with the censorship. that would make twitter one of the best things ever on the internet.

For one thing, Elon is known for making lofty promises and breaking them later, such as with Hyperloop.
For another, several of his recent promises regarding Twitter are self contradictory. "Removing spam" and "allowing all legal speech" are a good example of this, especially given his proposals to reduce or eliminate moderation altogether: spam is legal speech and distinguishing spam from non-spam is a moderation task
@sneak Here's an article on another set of issues:

@sneak While improvements to Twitter are still not just welcomed, but encouraged, it'd still be great to see a more complete shift towards decentralized platforms, no?
@hiramfromthechi centralized is way better if you can make it work.
federation/decentralization for identity. centralization for databases and services.
signal has it right.
@sneak Guess that's the big "if"
@sneak He won't. He says what he thinks people want to hear.
