i had an app on my phone. i backed up my phone. i got a new phone. i restored my phone. all my apps and data reappeared except one. it turns out your apps aren’t in the backup, they get redownloaded fresh as current versions, not the versions you had. one app is no longer in the store so i can’t have it on my new phone.
fucked by drm on a brand new $2000 device. thanks apple.

@sneak can you still download it from App Store > Account > Apps?
You should be able to find apps there, even if they’re no longer in the App Store. At least, I’ve been able to for all of the ones I’ve wanted to find.
