Today was not the most fun day.

So I work for a church on a Sunday helping manage their media and audio for live streaming. So near the end of the service the sound engineer noticed some audio channels dropping off and deciding not to work, the bass and acoustic guitar kept cutting and then a mic.

Upon discovery we decided that this is not good especially since we have some sessions going on during the week and they need to work without issue. We had recently bought all the parts to upgrade to full digital audio, this would allow us to just pick up the whole set up if we needed and move to a new location. Dante Audio equipment is a software and hardware solution that enables us to run all the channels we need over Cat5e cables instead of a audio multicore.

So out came the box of cat5e cable and my cable kit and I'm not sure how but was able to make the cables first time without issue no need to remake any. The most painful part was really the running of the cables up and round the loft of the building back down to the stage.

All achieved on 4hrs of sleep 💤
