On December 9th, 2020, for the first time ever, the United States exceeded 3000 COVID-19 deaths in one single day.
At least 3260 people died yesterday. Possibly more since every GOP controlled state tries to hide COVID-19 deaths.
@kelena pretty sure every single state tries to hide these deaths. incompetence is not a partisan issue, or even a national one.
@sneak There is a distinct difference when governors like DeSantis and Abbott have told coroners to use special criteria for marking a death as "COVID-19" or not. Worse, DeSantis openly modified the reported data and the discrepancy was seen by journalists when they added county by county reporting to compare versus reported statewide totals. What did DeSantis do? He ordered counties to stop reporting publicly.
There is a CLEAR difference between the GOP and Democrats on this issue.
