Has a company ever turned around its public image so much and as fast as GameStop? One year ago, they were reviled for insisting employees continue working during a pandemic, because somewhere in the back they had a keyboard for sale which made them an essential business. Now they're the hero of the little guy, everybody's best friend. All because of stonks.

@tedu i don't think their public image turned around, just the perception of the value of their stonk. i'm pretty sure anyone who hated them before would resume hating them the instant they set foot in a store again.

@sneak i think this is true, but contrary to the ethical investment axiom that liking the stock is the same as liking the company and everything it does.
