heh my website is only 360kB but i include computer modern and helvetica neue which add another 1020kB. it's expensive to look this good.
@sneak Convert those to WOFF2 (which is supported basically everywhere) and you will probably see a dramatic decrease in size.

@sneak your computer modern is woff. woff2 offers ~30% savings over that. helvetica is otf which is not compressed at all. just do it! 🙂
@sneak could you slim the fonts to the latin set only?
