My wife has dozens of videos in H.265 from her iPhone which our TV can't play. So I finally fine-tuned hardware accelerated transcoding to H.264 on my AMD RX570 using ffmpeg just to find out that the outcome can be played everywhere, but the TV. And I have no idea why.
Those bloody video formats&codecs. 🤬
