@sneak from a linguistic standpoint i hate this modern “X is Y-phobic” because that literally just means you are afraid of the thing, so what you are saying is that expressing fears is unacceptable. which is clearly nonsense.

more particularized; i dunno. i was around for classical trans communities where the goal was to not be murderred, while the newer trans communities seem to interpret any questioning of pronouns to be identical to hate speech. so the answer to that question is entirely going to depend on if you’re dealing with traditional or tumblr castes.
