Statement of FSF board on election of Richard Stallman - fsf.org/news/statement-of-fsf-

---

I think the @fsf has addressed this quite well and addressed the intransparent handeling of the situation. I'm also exited to see them improve their governance to be more transparent in the future. :fsf: :rms:

@sp1rit @fsf being transparent about a wrong decision doesn't make it right. they seem to think the problem was how the decision was announced. that's wrong. the problem was the decision that was made.

@sneak @sp1rit @fsf they know the decision is wrong, they're just trying to save face

@sneak @sp1rit @fsf What was or wasn’t the problem depends on whom you ask; for some it was indeed the way they announced the decision (and for many it was a part of the problem), so addressing it should be relevant.

I personally had an issue with the very intransparent "announcement" and that's about it. I have no issue with #rms as a board member of the #fsf.
