More reasons for full scrutiny. This research was needed. Any software platform that provides services to public services needs examining with a fine tooth comb. What3words chose to legally threaten a security researcher, and have been quick to resort to lawyers in the past.

Of course. Sorry, I forgot the necessary quoting around "for a while" to mark the irony.
Now the idea is not bad. A "good" hashing of latitude and longitude giving there integers used as index in a wel l known list of words. These lists are already used in other applications (I.e. cryptowallets), we "only" have to find a good hashing functions without conflicts
