fastmail puts your sending end-user client IP in the outbound email header if you send email via their submission port (smtp). this is a data leak. :(

@sneak isn't this default behaviour on SMTP forever since?

@sneak It's based in Australia though, don't they have some archaic anti-encryption laws?

@arm email is not end to end encrypted so encryption laws at an email provider are mostly irrelevant. the provider has to handle plainttext because that's how email works.
