@arh its a zoroastrian symbol of the sun, and has been so for 1000+ years with the exception of one government using it for about a decade.

@icedquinn @arh@toots.alirezahayati.com i suggest you look into writing with the greek alphabet instead then, it has mostly not changed on the timescale you seem to be interested in. you are writing in a language that is, in its current form, way less than a thousand years old, though, so perhaps you implicitly acknowledge that recent/current events actually have a disproportionate cultural impact than those in remote history?

@icedquinn @arh@toots.alirezahayati.com i mean, i advocate for "kryptos means hidden and not shitcoins" too but it's still not a "i wanna use a nazi symbol because i talk about the zoroastrian sun a lot! (wink wink)"

@sneak @arh considering the left has been gaslighting the tech sector the entire past year over terms like "blacklist is racist" despite having zero etymological support for that claim, nah. i'm keeping the goalpost where i put it.

@icedquinn @arh@toots.alirezahayati.com this is a deflection.

@sneak @arh nope. it's knowing they will die on that hill, so i can tie anything to it and be smug that i'll never have to make good on the commitment.
