the american habit of making breakfast an unmitigated carb orgy is both tragic and maddening

@sneak@s.sneak.berlin you mean you don't eat 4 scrambled eggs, 6 slices of bacon, 5 sausage links, a pile of hashbrowns, 8 pieces of toast, a gallon of grits, and 10 biscuits with gravy of top of them with 4 cups of instant black coffee every morning?

@amolith was here for it until you hit the hashbrowns. (and i fucking love hash
browns. i just don't like glycemic shock before 20:00.)

@sneak

where do they serve american breakfast in Berlin?

@otso the ritz carlton, the intercontinental, and the hilton, among others. sadly, i am not presently in berlin.

@PeterSanchez you can just eat one brötchen or croissant and then stick to your ei and wurst and käse.

in the usa my yogurt came with muesli and it had chocolate in it. candy in my yogurt topping.

@sneak Hah, yea sounds like 'mercia to me. As an American I have to admit our food is total shit. Though, I think the "typical" American breakfast is usually just bacon, eggs and toast.

In France I'm always surprised at how many sandwiches a day these people eat and not get huge. Then I remember the quality of the food matters...

@PeterSanchez walking. i walk 5-10x as much per day in europe as i do in the usa.
