python3 openssl bindings' build has been broken in nixpkgs on darwin (macOS) for a long while (multiple days) and it's a dependency to like, everything. ugh.
@m0xee i don't really know much about how to use nix, it is very opaque and jargony and has its own weird DSL which i don't fully understand, i use it like a code bootcamp person uses git: by copy pasting opaque incantations into my terminal with no comprehension
@sneak Homebrew had a command line switch for interactive build which gave you a shell before configure phase so you could apply patches. Can't you do the same with nixpkgs and fix it manually?
