those paper straws you use now are made (poorly) waterproof by treating them with bioaccumulative poisons (PFAs)

@sneak it's hard to avoid plastic, especially in plumbing. Closest I've gotten is a glass soda stream, porcelain pour over for coffee, tri-ply steel pots & pans, steel instant pot and steel electric kettles.

Haven't found a plastic free water filter yet. Even the Berkey water filters have plastic as their filter holder and use glue I think :|

Aluminum cans are lined with plastics also, and pretty much everything uses some silicone or plastic for o rings and caps to seal water.

@surfingalot i have no issues with plastic, where did your reply come from?

@sneak ah I thought the coating was a plastic of some sort vs. the non-stick teflon parts
