@thor gambling is free association and free trade between adults. any state that bans it is illegitimate and should be overthrown.

@sneak @thor huh, yes, but under the condition that it is clearly separated from other activities and that there are addiction prevention measurements as well as education in this regard.
i find it scary that, for example, twitch attracts many young people just for that reason.

@Jain @thor no state has the authority to try to prevent me from getting addicted to things i choose to get addicted to.

nobody, and i mean NOBODY, has any authority higher than me over my health, or how i choose to spend my resources. it's the same for everyone else. if someone chooses to become addicted, state interference is a violation of their rights.

@sneak @thor i get that and i agree to a certain point...
But I would be interested to know how you see the conflict with platforms such as twitch or the Fifa Games, for example
I wonder if you have an opinion about this

@Jain @thor these are private entities that can do or not do whatever they want. i don't use twitch and i ignore fifa. so should you.

@sneak @thor This is imho the way more hot take and not that the state interferes with your freedom...
There lies the border with which I do not agree at all
