amazing to me that people don't see the obvious ones:
- we apply due process to people based primarily on economic status
- we routinely let people in custody of the state die from easily preventable diseases or get physically attacked/raped
- the police selectively enforce laws and prosecutors selectively prosecute people to push entirely undemocratic agendas
the guy who invented the modern computing architecture we all use also was in favor of starting a nuclear war, dr strangelove style, with the ussr, because he thought they just plain needed killin:
cultural appropriation doesn't hurt anyone, and resultantly isn't wrong or bad. it's an attempt to frame harmless behavior (that is, the normal and typical propagation of human culture) as an outrageous offense.
majority groups do plenty to fuck over minority groups. dressing or dancing or cooking or eating or cutting their hair similarly is not one of them.
if everything is outrageous, then nothing is.
the smear campaign aimed at warren ellis makes me really sad.

these people are insane
you're insane if you have location services turned on in your phone:

every time i'm reading some post on rms' website and i'm thinking to myself "hmm this is a reasonable position" i get to the part where he uses his own made-up gender neutral personal pronouns which nobody else anywhere has adopted and i recall that this seemingly reasonable article came out of the mind of a completely unreasonable person and i have to change the channel and go render something with nonfree javascript to get rid of the gross feeling
https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-even-more-important.html
rms himself writes (in (3)) about why the AGPL is nonfree.
if reading this doesn't make you angry at software people, i don't know what will

it's like this because *they designed it like this*.
however i installed this version of ungoogled-chromium (flatpak? snap? appimage? whatever overengineered-flavor-of-the-day-that-doesn't-actually-fix-the-problem?) has terrible tearing when playing back fullscreen video on a normal/recent ubuntu with a normal/recent nvidia video card. everything else on the system works fine. this is fine
