it's absolutely ridiculous the amount of boilerplate and redownloading that happens as a result of docker. the fact that the apt cache directories aren't cached between builds, or that there isn't a default caching http proxy to save redownloads is insane. there is so much waste.
i wish everyone who works on docker had to develop for one day a week without internet access.
if your GUI tool doesn't have a link to the source or git repo in the header of your website, i bounce.
if that git repo doesn't have an f/oss license in the /LICENSE, i bounce.
like 99% of the gui clients for postgres (free software) are proprietary crap. imagine using free software tools, building tools atop them, and being so selfish as to try to panhandle for $5. it's the tackiest bullshit.

So: Twitter, am I surprised? No, not at all.
I'm actually glad they're ripping the mask off of the bias at Twitter, which - as a site with its role in social media - is a terrible thing.
And I'd far rather have a site that allows terrible things to be said than one that keeps me thinking the world is a kind, safe place for me and mine, when it's not.

The #NixOS experience is fucking up your dev VM on accident, reimaging it from scratch in 5 minutes and then being able to do productivity again in. Fucking hell I love this OS.
imagine single-handedly making EVs popular and cool, bringing internet access to every corner of the inhabited globe, trying to fix LA traffic, and trying to keep the only non-shitty social media site alive and nonbankrupt... and everyone hating you anyway
