privacy issues aside, iOS is getting worse. there are a lot of features for features' sake, and lots of bloat. some of it is amazing (eg continuity, for those that use icloud), and the new camera OCR, but most stuff added since ios7 isn't that great.

for the record, i like both the comedic techniques of kernel-of-truth-but-mostly-exaggerated-so-still-funny (cf louie's "of course but maybe" bit) as well as the say-the-most-absurd-untrue-thing-possible-but-deliver-it-straight-for-a-beat thing (again cf louie's cinema classics jews/rape stuff). people tend to conflate the two but they are not the same. i suspect chappelle is trying for the former and ends up punching down; i haven't seen the bit yet though so this is speculation.

i think i have an essay about kraftwerk inside of me. computerliebe is about experiencing human alienation by technology-mediated social interaction, then using technology to solve the problem. both the man machine and tour de france are concept albums about the same concept.
