@PeterSanchez the latter is widely known but irrelevant to my question. the fact that vaccinated are less likely to die is not sufficient basis to deny unvaccinated access to public spaces unless they are more likely to spread

@HerbSteelbranch if there is a global nuclear war where you have to avoid "potential nuclear targets", there will be no place on earth that is safe. if you dodge the bombs and fallout (which is a viable strategy otherwise), the dust kicked up will cause a several-years-long winter and will destroy crops and agriculture. even those not vaporized or poisoned will starve. there will be no human society left.

possibly-wrong prediction: the "peek performance" teaser for apple's event on the 8th is a reference to a new mac pro which will be a monster. perhaps it will be clear or have some cool oled bebox-style readout on it.

in addition to being the farthest object away from earth, voyager also holds the record for the longest period of continual operation for a computer.

guinnessworldrecords.com/world

it's been running continuously since 20 aug 1977.

the people who built and designed it should be individually recognized. that's a world-class achievement.

one piece of missing data i've not been able to find anywhere, because everyone is so carefully guarded about saying anything authoritative:

given that we *know* vaccinated people can get and spread covid, the question is: are vaccinated people *less likely* to get covid? are they *less likely* to spread it to to others once they are infected?

it seems that most public policy was operating on the assumption that if you are vaccinated you are less "dangerous". is that true?

@dirething@weirder.earth so start a company and work whenever you want. all jobs are opt-in.

did totino's pizza rolls get way worse in the last decade or do i just remember them as being better than they were?

@w96k the video was produced primarily before the war. i gave you a solution to your problem. it's on you if you don't want to use the solution. nobody likes a complainer.

@w96k install sponsorblock and ublock origin obviously, if you are browsing the web without these you're crazy
