apple store only allows purchase of 2 displays with mac studio, even maxxed out in $8k config (it supports 4)
the mac pro, apple's lowest volume computer, is now the only remaining intel arch machine they sell. the 27" intel imac was discontinued when the studio came out.

it is a little bit shameful that ukraine is not allowing men of fighting age to leave the country if they so choose.
possibly-wrong prediction: the "peek performance" teaser for apple's event on the 8th is a reference to a new mac pro which will be a monster. perhaps it will be clear or have some cool oled bebox-style readout on it.
or it could just be monitors.
in addition to being the farthest object away from earth, voyager also holds the record for the longest period of continual operation for a computer.
it's been running continuously since 20 aug 1977.
the people who built and designed it should be individually recognized. that's a world-class achievement.
one piece of missing data i've not been able to find anywhere, because everyone is so carefully guarded about saying anything authoritative:
given that we *know* vaccinated people can get and spread covid, the question is: are vaccinated people *less likely* to get covid? are they *less likely* to spread it to to others once they are infected?
it seems that most public policy was operating on the assumption that if you are vaccinated you are less "dangerous". is that true?
did totino's pizza rolls get way worse in the last decade or do i just remember them as being better than they were?
this answers a question i had had for some time now.
