regrettably i think i need more computers

imagine being mad about pronouns: you squirted air through your own meat and produced incorrect vibration wave symbols, now we fite

i like conveyor belt sushi for the same reason i'm a fan of in-kernel HTTP.

my machine has 18 cores, 128gb of ram, has 3 5k displays, and cost me more than a small car, and somehow the dinosaur game on chrome still drops frames

you know that denial-of-service where you sprinkle the tiniest amount of black powder on the outside of someone's carry on?

the bitcoin equivalent would be to find someone's exchange deposit address and send ransomware proceeds there.

does anyone want to run/admin a pleroma or mastodon instance for me and take full responsibility for managing it? quote me a price, i am happy to pay.

is there a mastodon-to-pleroma migration guide? is pleroma easy to run in a docker container with a tls frontend (like traefik/caprover)?

alternately, can someone recommend a good managed masto host (i want to continue to use my existing id and domain)

o2 deutschland is such a deeply unethical company.

oh look the ledger ios app is spyware. why does nobody in cryptocurrency give two fucks about privacy?

700k dead americans from covid. about 200k of those probably wouldn't have died had they gotten vaccinated.

that's 200k dead morons, and some innocent children mixed in.

sucks about the 500k and the kids, but i am fine with having 200k fewer antivaxxers.

apple configurator 2, required to dfu restore t2/m1 mac firmware, is only available via the mac app store with an apple id. you cannot sysadmin a mac without giving apple a phone number to get an apple id.

i just had to dfu restore my 16" intel rMBP because i booted to recovery and did "erase mac" to wipe the drive and it shut off and no key combo or power button input could cause a non-black screen

OK THIS IS THE BEST INTERNET OF SHIT STORY

From a story about Prince Phillip:

“In more recent years, I am told, he extolled the joys of his Kindle until, disgusted by all the direct marketing of books he didn’t want to read, he threw it in the bath.”

they bought him... a cheaper Kindle... with the ads.

IoS RTd VR tech guy...

"We’re starting a small test of in-headset ads with a few developers in the coming weeks. We want to help developers generate revenue and help people find great experiences at better prices—this is a part of how we’ll create a healthy, self-sustaining platform for everyone."

my own thought: I'm so impressed that someone could make me less interested in VR
