fat white people on antidepressants saying "primary bedroom"

if there's anything i have learned in my four decades on this planet, it's that you should never, ever mention having a medical problem to festival hippies.

@Teri_Kanefield literally everyone has had this plan. he failed to execute on it. remember when he looked directly at the eclipse? or caught covid? turns out being dumb really is bad for you.

@Green_Footballs everyone is planning this. ideas are worthless, execution (literally and figuratively) is everything.

So following on from that research into why people aren't signing up to the fedi, yesterday I tried a little experiment to remove some of the biggest barriers and help people make the jump.

People complain the process of signing up to mastodon is complicated, and it's hard to find the Good Posts.

So I shared with people who wanted to join two things:
1. An invite link to the server I'm on, to stop them having to choose.
2. My follow list in csv format, to populate the tl with good posts.

@stavvers there should be better UI for sharing lists of users, and bulk following such lists.

@bot @gray and you must have missed the part where i say i'm not a capture one user? how do you jump from that to "essential to your workflow"? the mind reels

@bot @gray i can't believe it's 2023 and i still have to explain to people that copying isn't stealing

@verita84 because it's an app for a totally different purpose? lightroom is a tool for managing a library of hundreds of thousands of images.

@bot @gray i mean if i switch i'm switching to a cracked version obviously

@gray @bot the problem is that i have 26 years of digital photography in lightroom already. does capture one import all of that? can it even handle a library that huge? it's like 2TB and hundreds of thousands of images...

@sabbatical nothing quite as obnoxious as an instance owner telling you what you're allowed to read on the internet
